Think Green-Live Green
"Gold is a luxury. Trees are necessities. Man can live and thrive without gold, but we cannot survive without trees."-Paul Bamikole
Today is my last day in Sundarbans, the place where I will go is the Jharkhali. The Jharkhali island is an amazing gateway of Sundarbans. A big surprise awaited me at Jharkhali.
Jharkhali is the place where the injured animals are taking care of and nursing, the Government authorities have set up these units.
The place is surrounded by a thick metal bar and the wire mesh, where all the injured animals are taking care of. I am lucky to see the full body male royal Bengal tiger was caught and was being treated for wounds the thieves chased the tiger and tried to kill the tiger. Then wildlife officers rescued the tiger.
Jharkhali forest |
Jharkhali is the perfect place for a natural look and its Mangrove forest. All types of mangrove plants are planted there. There was a beautiful garden and here different types of butterflies were flying, the scenario was just amazing. I captured this beautiful moment.
The forest has marine turtles, crocodiles, and a number of different species of birds. Wildlife is maintained through eco conversation, eco-development, training, education, and research. Conservation soil is done to maintain the ecological balance. In Jharkhali forest several sweet water ponds have been dug up inside the park to provide drinking water for the wild animals.
Cyclonic storms Amphoon and Aila damaged the Sundarban's land. Some island and forest fringe villages damaged also.
After visiting Jharkhali forest I have totally enjoyed this exciting trip and also enjoyed seeing wildlife animals.
The ride gave me a break from the daily hustle and bustle-free life. If you can like forest beauty so you must go to the Sundarbans mangrove forest. I enjoyed it a lot I think you will also enjoy the way I enjoyed it.
