My other travel diary is Sundarbans forest journey is my three-day travel trip. Before the Corona pandemic situation, I arrived at the mangrove forest Sundarbans March in 2019.
Day 1:
The Sundarbans a World Heritage site is located at the southeastern tip of the 24 Parganas district and 110 kilometers from Kolkata. The place-name Sundarbans got its name from one of the mangrove plants Sundari.
Reaching Sundarbans I hired a private car but you can also use the public train from Sialdah station. If you want to go by train to Sundarbans you will be reached Canning station. From there you can hire a private car to go to Mangrove forest.
After reaching Sundarbans I booked a hotel cum resort. The resort is surrounded by different types of plants and the atmosphere also nice.
Sundarbans is the largest delta in the World spread across the mouth of the Bay of Bengal. Created by the confluence of the Ganges, the Brahmaputra, and the Meghna.

Sundarbans is a large island, on the Indian side are 102 islands and 54 are inhabited. The Sundarbans mangrove forest covered an area of 10,000 square kilometers, of which Bangladesh's Khulna division extends over approx 6000 square kilometers and in West Bengal extends over approx 4000 square kilometers.
The most abundant plant is Sundari and Gewa. The mangrove forest provides 453 faunal wildlife,290 types of birds,120 types of fish,42 mammals,32 reptiles, and eight types of amphibian species.
After finishing breakfast meal I arrived at to Dobanki watchtower by launch safari. From the watchtower, tourists can watch the famous Royal Bengal Tiger, where the tiger came to drink water.
Different types of mangrove plants were seeing in the Dobanki watchtower. I watched some rare species of birds and I collect also these pictures. All over the area is covered with net cause anytime tiger can come.
From the tower, I watched some deers came to drink water. So I captured this moment.

The Sundarbans forest has more than 400 tigers. The Royal Bengal Tigers have developed a unique characteristic of swimming in saline water, and are famous for their man-eating tendencies.
Apart from the Bengal tiger, there have fishing cats, leopard cats, wild boar, fox, jungle cat, flying fox, Indian grey mongoose.
After vising these places I came back to the resort and took a rest. My day one journey is complete with gathering a lot of experiences. I totally enjoy the forest safari. The experience was great.
