Katao is one of the beautiful places in Sikkim state. After visiting Yumthang valley I started my journey towards Katao. I went to Katao Valley in March. The valley covered with snow.
Katao Valley:
Katao is located in North Sikkim. Katao valley is situated at an altitude of 15000 feet above sea level. The valley is covered with poppy, primula, and Rhododendron.

A military check post is nearby. Katao valley remains ice cover from March to April. Katao valley is around 24 kilometers from Lachung. I had no plan to go to Katao but the drivers told me about it when I was in Lachung and it cost it few.
After starting my journey from Lachung the weather began to get worse. Suddenly it started to snow falling. This is my first experience watching the snow falling. It was just mesmerizing experience to me. I watched everywhere covered with ice. The place looks just like a Switzerland, I was overwhelmed. All trees leave covered with snow.
Driver da made an ice model from ice. Everyone played with ice and thrown each other faces. I found all the peaks around me thick with snow. I clicked snow-falling pictures and snow-covered peaks.

Watched snow falling it was thrilling to experience in my whole life. I went to the last point of the Katao valley. Everywhere was snow and snow. It's looking like an ice carpet on top of the hills.
I enjoyed Katao more than Yumthang valley. It is a wonderful experience and simply an outstanding place. Katao valley has wonderful scenery. Tourists were enjoying the marvelous beauty of Katao valley.
After traveling Katao valley I was recharged and regenerate. I gathered all the experience and returned back to the hotel.
