Way To Beautiful Lake Just Like Heaven

My Arunachal Pradesh trip was pretty much my first experience in North India and I was truly excited. After visiting the stunning Sela pass I was just truly mesmerized. I was totally unaware of this stunning place, a beautiful lake just like heaven on the earth is called Sangetsar lake.

Madhuri Lake or Sangetsar Lake

I travelled the month of December, middle of the month, I just decided to go anywhere hill area like North India to go with the flow. Tawang is a bundle of the beauty of nature and beyond spellbinding view.

Way to Madhuri Lake

The Sangetsar lake is 37 kilometre from the beautiful Tawang city and the road was extremely bumpy and bad. I hired a local driver to make a one day trip.

Frozen Sangetser Lake

The important matter is that is a special permit is required from the Local DC to visit Madhuri lake or Sangetsar lake. My hotel owner is a very nice guy and he helps me to guide getting this local permission.

Only Arunachal Pradesh register vehicles have permission to travel beyond Tawang. I got all of this done and I started my journey towards Sangetsar lake. I started my journey towards Sela pass, it was freezing cold. When I watched it, everywhere was just only ice. During the winter months, all mountains were filled with snow and the lake was almost frozen.

Sangetser Lake

I took knowledge from internet surfing that the lake was formed after an earthquake that took place in 1952. While I entered the stunning frozen lake, every tourist was provided with a special hot black tea to warm up your body. Because the temperature was almost minus 12degree.

Frozen Madhuri Lake

I carried a mobile to take awesome pictures but the army told me that it would be better to click to DSLR. I spoke to few army officers to know more about this stunning place.

The stunning frozen lake was just like paradise to me and the entire region and the beautiful lake nestled in between the mountain filled with pine and other coniferous trees making breathtaking scenery.

Sangetser Lake

There was a cosy cafeteria operated by the army. The lake was snow frozen and while I went to wintertime so the place was the serene and isolated view. The real beauty I explored to the best way to walk and enjoy the stunning view that nature played my mind and I enjoyed the spectacular view.

The beautiful lake is called Madhuri lake because of a song from the Bollywood movie 'Koyla' featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit was shot in the '90s.

Sungetsar Lake

The beautiful frozen lake with a stunning beauty was enough to rejuvenate my mind and soul. The lake was surrounded by picturesque and beautiful snow dropping view and this awesome scenario making this place creating unforgettable memory in my mind.

Madhuri Lake

At the time of sunset, I went to the army canteen which located in a snow-covered area. I got lucky to have some hot black tea and hot jalebi that finished in a span of 20 minutes. My whole journey to Madhuri lake was refreshing and reenergize.
