Abanindranath Tagore Heritage Baganbari |
Abanindranath is a great painter because he attended the studio of Charles Palmer, an English painter for instruction in oil painting and portraiture.
Today I arrived at the heritage building of Abanindranath Tagore Bagan bari. The place is located in P S Konnagar, Hooghly district.
The main entrance |
This place was declared as a heritage place on 28 May 2007 by the West Bengal Heritage Commission. The house is related to the history of the Tagore family.
The heritage Baganbari is situated on the banks of the Ganges river. In his childhood, he used to live with his father Baganbari near Kolkata at Konnagar.
Most of his good memories were related to his heritage Baganbari. The bizarre was blowing gently and the atmosphere was also good. The place was surrounded by different types of trees like Banayan, Mango, etc. His great painting and some historical things were also there.
I found that the greatest poet Rabindranath Tagore had a connection with his Baganbari. Rabindranath Tagore used to visit here with his family to spend some time and enjoy the scenic beauty.
The place was maintained by Konnagar Municipality Corporation. I clicked some valuable pictures of this Heritage Baganbari. Visitors enjoyed the atmosphere of Baganbari and the natural Beauty.
The wooden bench was lying at the entrance of the corridor and his painting pictures were hanging all over the corridor. The natural beauty makes the place calm and cool.
The taste of Bengali's upper-class lifestyle combined with the variety of experiences has shown in the Baganbari.
The Chairman of the Municipal Corporation developed this ancient property and step towards protecting the place.
After that, the Heritage Baganbari is becoming worth visiting a place and Visitors also come here.
I enjoyed this ancient place and gathered some knowledge. This ancient Baganbari is a valuable place and everyone should protect the Heritage property.
